I love holidays. I love all the festivities and colors and foods and smells of holidays. I don't usually cook a traditional Easter dinner, but I am totally into Easter dresses for church and the Easter Bunny and dying Easter eggs and Easter egg hunts and colorful Easter baskets. So of course I took a million pictures of
Shaelyn enjoying not her first Easter, but her first Easter that she could actually enjoy. Sorry, I know I'm obsessed!

On Saturday night, I ironed Michael's shirt,
Shaelyn's dress, and my skirt to be ready for Easter Sunday. Since it was the first time I've ever really ironed our clothes in preparation for the Sabbath (sad, I know), I decided to document the moment. The colors of our clothes looked so pretty together, I felt like making the photo a work of art. I don't know if I
succeeded, but I like it...

I was totally irreverent and took some pictures at church. (No, not in the chapel, just out in the hallways and stuff.) Since we have church at 9:00, I'm never on time, so we certainly did not have time to take Easter pictures before church. We barely had time to put on our nicely ironed clothes!

Doesn't she look like such a big girl? When did that happen?!?!

The best friends in their Easter dresses together. Clara's playing peek-a-boo with
Shaelyn...

Sorry Clara's in the shadows.

Being cute can make you so thirsty! (I know Nicolle loves the fact that Clara is licking the public water fountain...)

So
Shaelyn decided to share her water since Clara couldn't get any out of the fountain. (One of
Shaelyn's new favorite things: feeding everyone like they are her own personal baby dolls. Clara and Addie are both very game for this activity.)

Totally pooped after church and out cold in the car on the way home. We didn't make her wear her dress in the car - all those crinoline layers would have been very uncomfortable! After church we all took a nap and then woke up to find Easter baskets waiting.
Shaelyn's Easter basket (another creative shot...)

She got a Dove Easter Bunny (to share with Mommy and Daddy), one
Reese's Peanut Butter Egg (which she hasn't tried yet), some plastic eggs full of
Cadbury Mini Eggs and
Starburst Jellybeans (both of which she loves) and "big girl" cups with straws.

She loved shaking the eggs...

...and drinking from her "big girl" cups!

After finding her Easter basket, we headed out to the yard to find Easter eggs!

It was a little cold on Easter, so she couldn't wear her cute Hawaiian t-shirt her Grandma got her without a coat on over it.

Are the Easter eggs over there?

I think there's more in our neighbor's yard...

Do these eggs taste good, too?
I love Easter as much as my Mommy!
