Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

Zipper Master

Shaelyn has mastered zippers. But now that it's not jacket season anymore, she doesn't have much to zip and unzip. Poor girl. Tonight I left Shaelyn downstairs watching Madagascar so I could nurse Rachelle and get her ready for bed without any distractions.

Shaelyn was being unusually quiet during Rachelle's bedtime routine. This is what I came downstairs to find:




Why the stuffing is green is beyond me. Thank goodness Michael came home late tonight. So tomorrow there will be a parent available to distract the 2-year-old while I get the baby ready for bed. Although I'm sure Shaelyn would prefer being left to her own devices. Who knows what she could unzip tomorrow. I bet she's dreaming of zippers right now...
