Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

Behind the wheel

Friday I went visiting teaching at a park in downtown Greensboro. Since it was right across the street from where Michael works, I called him to see if he wanted to get together with me and Shaelyn for an early lunch. He was in the middle of a meeting, but said it would only be about a 1/2 hour before he could leave. I was trying to think of ways to kill time with Shaelyn, so I drove over to a shady spot in Michael's parking lot and got Shaelyn out of her car seat to see if she wanted to nurse. I stayed in the front seat with the air conditioner blasting - it was an incredibly HOT day! After Shaelyn was done eating, I put her on my lap so I could get situated. She immediately grabbed the steering wheel and started acting like she was driving the car. It was too cute, so I had to take some pictures. Look out world! Shaelyn's behind the wheel!
