Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

Cute as a Bear

Shaelyn was a winter baby. But that winter was very mild. I rarely had to bundle her up. In fact, the one time it snowed, I put her in the snow suit my mom had gotten her, and she screamed hysterically for having to be bundled up so much. So I took the snow suit back. And was grateful it never dipped below 45 degrees that winter.

But this winter has been much colder. It's been down as low as 10 degrees this winter, and I am not a cold weather girl. I have a friend living up in New England, and she took her toddler and newborn out walking on frozen lakes. I think her blood is thicker than mine. Needless to say, I've been spending most days inside my toasty house, telling Shaelyn to "go to the playground in her mind." But there are times when we have to venture out. To get milk and bananas, stuff like that. And then I'm grateful that my sister sent me out this adorable bear suit. Because it keeps Rachelle warm and she looks adorable in it.

But I'm having my next baby in the summer...
