Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

Look Alike

When Rachelle was first born, I didn't think she looked anything like Shaelyn. In fact, I thought she looked a lot like her cousin - my sister's little boy, David. I told this to Michael, who agreed she looked like David, but also contended that she did in fact look like Shaelyn. "Either way," he said, "all our kids look like me when they're born." I can't argue with him on that point...
But now that she's home from the hospital and looking less newborn-alien-like and more baby-like, I think she does look more like her sister.
Anyway, now it's up for you to decide. Who do you think she looks like? Shaelyn? David? Me? Michael? Or, as my mom would say, herself?
