Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing

Michael is a sweetheart of a husband and does not have a lot of expectations for me. For example, he does not expect a clean house when he gets home. Or dinner on the table. Or the bills all paid, organized, and filed away. Or me and the kids even out of our pajamas.

(I'm not sure if this is the result of him just being very understanding, or coming to realize that after 8 years of marriage, those things are never going to happen.)

But there is one thing he does expect.

Every Wednesday, as he leaves for work, he gives me a kiss and says, "Don't forget to record LOST. It's the most important thing you can do today."

And so far, I've been 100% in meeting that expectation.

Have fun watching these last two episodes. What are we going to do until the next season starts?

Michael's going to have to come up with a new "important thing" for me to do. Let's hope it's not the dishes.
