Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

Stealing Journal Ideas

A blog I read on a regular basis - Normal Mormon Husbands - does a running daily update in the sidebar. I understand this is a feature on Facebook. Since I am a Facebook virgin myself, I don't know if that's true or not. But I think it's a great idea. Because there are so many things I want to document and share, but don't always have the time to do a full-fledged post about them. Because once I get started writing a post, I just can't stop myself. If it doesn't have at least 200 pictures and 15 videos, I can't push the publish button. I just can't!

So let's see if I can keep this up. Keep checking my sidebar to see my latest thoughts on the mundane, ordinary, and extraordinary events of my life. And feel free to steal this journal idea for yourself. You might just find your life's a little more interesting than you thought, too.
