Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

For the Love of Ariel

Yes, she has the whole song memorized. Word for word. Well, word for phonetic toddler sound anyway.

I took this video so I could show it as stock footage that "she's been singing her whole life" whenever she goes on American Idol.

If American Idol is still on in 13 years, somebody shoot me now so I don't have to endure the next 13 years.

My favorite parts:

"But who cares? No big deal! I want MOM!"

"Whay-ya-caw-um? (*Whispers*) Oh. Feed."

That she sighs at the end (just like Ariel) with "Out of the sea (*sigh*) wish I could be (*sigh*) part of your world."

If you're familiar with the choreography from the movie, then you'll recognize that she's making her Ariel doll mimick what she does in the movie (like doing flips, swimming to the top of the cavern, and laying down in the sand).

And finally...

...the state of disaster that my house is currently (read: always) in.

(FYI: I started recording on the third or so line...)
