Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

Gorgeous Shaelyn

A friend and I decided to be economic this year and take each other's family photos. She took our pictures this morning. I took hers this afternoon. Yes, we are using these photos for our Christmas cards this year. Yes, we are amateurs. Yes, we know we are insane. But my children are not the kind of behaving-for-the-camera children that make shelling out dough for family photos worth it (most of the time - miss you Jackie!!).

I figured I take a couple of posts to highlight my cuties. First up is my gorgeous Shae-Shae.

Have you ever tried to take a photo of my oldest child? Or witnessed me trying to take a photo of her? Or seen the end result of any "photo session" the child has ever been a part of for her entire life?

Well, then you can appreciate the results of today's efforts.
