Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

Happy 1st Birthday Shaelyn!

I can't believe we have a 1 year old today! Michael and I are filled with emotion as we look back on the last year and contemplate all the changes that have occurred to our little family. We also can't believe how much Shaelyn has changed! I put together a slide show that takes you through Shaelyn's first year of life. We enjoyed watching her face change as she got older and cuter!

There is a song that accompanies the slideshow. To hear it, you have to press the sound button (next to the play button) several times (I have to do it 4 times) before you can hear the music. Also, the slideshow starts automatically when you open our blog, so if you miss the first few pictures you have to hit the "prev" button in the top left corner. I put a lot of work into the slideshow only to find out it didn't operate the way I wanted!! So frustrating! So hopefully you can enjoy it even with these limitations.
