Nicolle asked me when I was going to post our recently taken family pictures. I told her I had to wait until after Shaelyn's birthday post so that there could be "no competition". She was confused at first and then said, "yes, so everyone can view and savor the slide show". I said, "Nicolle, you get me". So enough savoring my emotionally-manipulative slide show... :)
We had our family pictures taken on Saturday by a great photographer who also happens to be our friend Jackie. She takes excellent, high quality, non-traditional shots. Since I've never been a fan of the whole Olan Mills look, Jackie was the girl for us! We really love black & white photos, so the majority are b&w, but she will take color shots if that's your thing. Just wanted to throw out the disclaimer for her. If you live in the Triad area, I highly recommend her and will get you her info - just let me know you're interested.
She took over 500 shots of our family (mainly of Shaelyn!) and then put them all on CD for us to do with them what we want. Of the 500, I picked out my favorites to share with you. Unfortunately, I love 140 of the pictures! So instead of uploading them to some slide show, I decided to let you peruse the pics on Shutterfly. You do not have to sign up with Shutterfly to look at the pictures - just click the link below the first picture that says "view pictures". I recommend viewing the pictures as a slide show, full screen. Now, if you're not a grandparent of Shaelyn, you will probably not want to sit through the whole slide show at regular speed (it takes about 8 minutes). You can change the speed so that the pictures go by much faster. Just thought I'd save a little piece of your sanity - I know your not as obsessed with her as we are!
We left a couple of funny ones in for your amusement, including one of us changing her shirt and one of us wiping her runny nose. This was also Shaelyn's first time playing on the playground, so it was fun to capture it on film!
So grandparents, aunts, uncles, (and anyone else), if you see a picture you want, just order it straight from Shutterfly. The quality of the pictures are very good, so they will make great 8x10s if that's the size you're looking for. You can even crop or otherwise edit the pictures before you buy them. You can have the pictures delivered to you or you can pick them up at your nearest Target. See, easy for everyone, right?
