Women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. . . . She guards that gate, and things matter to that family if they matter to her. . . . Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight.

I love the second... I promise!

When you have your first baby, everyone smiles, laughs, or rolls their eyes as they see you take 500 pictures of your baby yawning for the first time. And they tell you, "You'll never take this many pictures of any of your other kids!" My MIL is the baby of her family, and she's always claiming there's only 2 pictures of her as a baby. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but I've also never seen her baby book - probably because it doesn't exist!

But I wasn't worried. This is the digital age, for crying out loud! We take hundreds of photos of our kids doing totally routine things because we can! So what's to stop me from taking 500 pictures of Rachelle yawning too? I didn't see the problem.

I must say I've been doing pretty good. I obviously don't bust out the camera for every little thing like I used to, but I think Rachelle gets her fair share of the lime light. However, I don't rant and rave and blog and brag about her like I used to with Shaelyn. When Shaelyn rolled over, there was a post about it. When she found her feet, a post. Same with sitting up, rocking on her hands and knees, crawling, first eating... you get the idea.

Well, Rachelle's been crawling for a month now. And eating solid foods for two. And I have yet to post or brag about it. So here she is in all her glory.

And isn't she adorable?!
